International Labour Organization finds in favour of Part-time college staff.

- The International Labour Organization issued a ruling calling on the Ontario government to legislate the right for part-time and sessional support staff and faculty at the colleges to join a union.
- At a weekend-long meeting on Nov. 17 - 19, the Organization of Part-time and Sessional Employees of Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology (OPSECAAT) was launched

"Ontario faces criticism over position on unions"
A United Nations agency is criticizing the Ontario government for denying part-time college workers the right to unionize.The International Labour Organization is blasting Premier Dalton McGuinty for denying most of the province's 16,000 part-time college employees the right to engage in collective bargaining.
